The Magnificent Eel

Eel's are long, slimy, have round eyes, and live in the ocean. They have fins and a bony skeleton, like all fish. They are very flexible and like to slither on the ocean floor. Female eels live in freshwater streams and rivers and then they go and mate with a male eel who lives far out in the ocean.

The Bottlenose Dolphin

Some Bottlenose Dolphins live far out in the ocean, but other live closer to shore. Bottlenose Dolphins eat fish, crabs, and squid. They are species that most people know because Bottlenose Dolphins are used in aquarium shows. Bottlenose dolphins have round eyes and four fins. Their diet consist of fish which they swallow whole.

The Caribou

The Caribou live in groups called herds. Caribou's antlers are up to five feet across. Their antlers help them fight off the wolves. Caribou are part of the deer family and live in the far North. The Caribou who live in Siberia and Scandinavia are called reindeer. Caribou eat grass, lichens, and other low growing plants in the Artic also called tundra.

The American Beaver

A Beaver is a rodent and is related to mice, squirrels, and chipmunks. The Beaver is the largest rodent in North America. The Beaver has a scaly, flat tail that helps him push himself in the water. In the Spring, Beavers make a lodge in a pond. In the Winter beavers supply themselves with tree bark.

The South American Anteater

Anteaters live in Central and South America. Anteaters have huge paws, large claws, round eyes, long noses, adn are black and beigh. The largest anteater are up to 6 feet long. Anteaters eat ants every single day of the year.
